Bill by Flastr Bill by Flastr
Team Fortress 2 - Engineer Wrench - Cosplay Prop

---

A Yule present for my dear :iconsteamengi:

---

His name is Bill and he took me... some ages to make.

I made him out of wood and metal parts...and... *waves hand* bits and pieces.

PROGRESSSSSS!!!

I have to ask, how did you make it?

I unfortunately did not take 'step-by-step' photos... :(

But there are a few tutorials on the web!

I made Bill by redrawing the wrench from a picture, then made a template, adjusted that to the right size (just... what 'looked right'), then just divided that into single pieces, traced them onto a wooden board (5 mm thick, so I had more of one specific piece stuck together to get the desired breadth) stuck the whole lot together as it should have been and then it was just sandpapering and sandpapering and paste and sandpapering...

And then the final touches. The metal screw and the hand grips (made out of those plastic chopping boards :D)

---
I actually think my process was more complicated to those found on the web...!!! But the final product looks good, the work was satisfying and the present made someone special happy. So... :D
